Never Expected This

The doctors of Mercy General Hospital's Trauma Unit were all on edge as they fought to save the life of a car accident victim named Chloe Pearce. Both Chole and her four year old daughter had been in a head on collision earlier that night and the fight was on to save her life. Meanwhile, in the pediactric unit doctors Jenna Jericho and Mackenzie Reso worked on stabilizing and sedating the four year old daughter of Chloe, Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn's left femur had been badly broken in the accident as well as a few ribs and a puntured lung. Looking up at the doorway to Kaitlyn's room Jenna shook her head when she sa her colleague standing in the door. "We couldn't save her," the doctor whispered. "We need to find a next of kin, her father perhaps?"

Jenna nodded. "I'll check her file," Jenna said, pulling the file down from the door she glanced through it, her eyes widening at the name under Kaitlyn's father.
