A Blast From the Past

Madison was sitting on the couch with her notebook in her hand, working on a new song when the doorbell rang. Getting up to answer the door she didn't think anything of it until she saw who was on the other side.
"Dylan?" Madison asked softly "what are you doing here?"

"I'm here to take you home Madison," the now 25 year old answered.

"Maddie?" Cody stepped into the hall and frowned when he saw a strange man at the door "Who are you?"

"My name is Dylan Denton, I'm Madison's brother," the raven haired man spoke. "I'm here to take her back home where she belongs."

"Excuse me?" Ted spoke. "Madison IS home."

"Maddie's not going anywhere" Cody stepped up and placed a protective arm around Madison "I think you need to leave."

Ted nodded.

"Cody's right Maddie's not going anywhere," Ted said.

"No, see that's where you're wrong because I know someone who will be very happy to see Madison again," Dylan said, an evil gleam in his eyes.

Cody was normally a quiet man, but now he began to snarl at the look he saw in Dylan's eyes "I told you" he murmured "Maddie is not going anywhere, there was nothing in her past life but pain, pain and more pain. And if you don't leave in the next ten seconds you are going to regret it."

Dylan glared at Cody before making his way toward the teen.

"Madison, let's GO," Dylan said firmly.

"No!" Madison said.

Dylan drew back his hand and backhanded the young girl to the floor.

"You bastard!" Cody lunged at the evil young man and tackled him to the floor, beating him with every ounce of fury in his body,

"Don't...EVER....touch...her....again!!!" Cody growled between strikes "Or I'll KILL you, you understand????"

Madison clutched her stomach as she sat on the floor.

"Cody!" Ted said firmly. "I'll deal with him, you check on Maddie."

Cody didn't want to stop, but when he looked up and saw Madison holding her pregnant belly, he abandoned Dylan without another thought and went to check on her. The teenager was clearly in pain and Cody started to feel very worried,

"Maddie what's wrong?" he lisped softly "Is it the baby?"

"Dad...Dad it...it hurts.....it hurts so bad!" Maddie cried. "What's wrong with me?"

Ted slammed Dylan against the wall. "If you EVER lay a hand on her again I will KILL you!" Ted warned.

"Ted!" Cody picked a crying Madison up into his arms "Do something with him, we need to get Maddie to the hospital, I think she's going into labor!"

"Dad....I'm only six months along.....she'll never make it!" Maddie cried.

"Darling don't worry" Cody murmured, rubbing Maddie's cheek as he rushed her to the car "They have ways of stopping premature labor, Jenna was telling me about them, you'll be fine, so will the baby, I promise."

Maddie was terrified at this point.

"Daddy," she said in a child like whimper, "I'm.....I'm scared."

"Shhhh, I know" Cody whispered, holding Madison's hand tightly as he raced to the hospital "But everything is going to be alright I promise."

Madison winced as she nodded. Her pain taking over completly now.

"Jenna, JENNA!!!!" Cody screamed frantically as he carried Madison inside "I need help!" he shouted "My daughter's going into labor!"

Jenna nodded.

"Alright, follow me, I'll take you up to L&D," Jenna said.

"Sweetheart it's gonna be okay" Cody murmured as they headed upstairs "Jenna's gonna take good care of you and the baby, alright?"

"Jenna" he called out "You gotta help her, she can't lose this baby!"

"She's not gonna lose it," Jenna said, taking them to a room.

"Maddie you hear that?" Cody smiled "You're gonna be alright sweetheart."

Madison nodded.

"Just.....don't leave me," Madison said.
