Some Really Big Choices

Jenna sat in the play room of the Pediatrics wing waiting for her frinds to arrive. Chris and Jeff had decided to adopt again, and Evan and Matt as well as John and Randy had told her they were ready to become parents.

Randy smiled at John as they headed in to meet Jenna "I can't believe we're really doing it" he smiled "We're finally going to be parents!"

"Yes, yes we are," John smiled.

Not too much later, Chris and Jeff walked in, but Chris looked really nervous

"Jeff I don't know..." he sighed uneasily "Hailey didn't seem too keen on the idea of having a sibling, you still think we should do it?"

"Hailey'll get used to it," Jeff said.

"Oh Mattie I'm so excited!" Evan was literally bouncing around his lover as they walked down the hallway "Can we really adopt two? Maybe we'll find twins!"

"Who knows Evy, who know," Matt chuckled. "Altough, I don't see why we need kids, you're a big enough one yourself," Matt joked.

Evan gasped and pouted at the older man "Look who's calling WHO a kid" he murmured "Mr. 'Hailey-Needs-Coffee.'"

"Come on Ev, you know I love to torture Chris!" Matt defended.

"Love? You THRIVE on it!" Chris shouted, having caught sight of Matt and Evan "Just this morning I caught Hailey trying to break into my stash of java, not cool!"

Matt chuckled and shrugged.

"I've taught her well," Matt said.

"Grown-up kids the lot of them" Randy muttered, walking over to where Jenna was sitting "So...when can we meet them?"

"Whenever you guys are ready," Jenna replied.

"Well I'm ready" Randy glanced over at Matt, Jeff and the others "Are you guys ready?"

"I'm ready," Matt replied.

"Well all right then" Randy smiled "Lead the way Jenna."

Jenna nodded, leading them into the room where the children were all playing in different areas of the room.

Randy looked around and saw two girls playing in a corner, one quietly drawing while the other read a book.

"John look at them..." Randy couldn't take his eyes off of them "Let's go talk to them."

John nodded, heading toward the girls, following close behind Randy.

"Hi there" Randy smiled and knelt down "My name's Randy, what are your names?"

The small red-headed child loked up at Randy, but didn't respond.

"Her name is Alanna, she's two, almost three, but she never speaks," Jenna said.

"Why not?" Randy whispered, looking up at Jenna while John bent down to talk to the other girl,

"We don't know, we've sent her to a dozen different specialist and they all say that nothing is wrong with her," Jenna said.

John smiled as he beny down.

"Hi there, my names John, what's yours?" John asked.

"My name's Aiden" the other girl pouted "You aren't going to like us, are you?"

"Now, why would you say that?" John asked.
