Holding onto Jenna, Chris dimly heard Jeff say they'd reached the hospital and suddenly there were hands everywhere trying to pick him up. Someone took his hand from Jenna's and he began to whimper, instantly missing his sister's touch.

"I'm still here Chris, I'm still here," Jenna said.

Opening his eyes, Chris looked around to try and see his sister, but all he saw were blurry faces he didn't know

"Jen...Jeff...." he looked from side to side "Where are you?"

"We're here Chrissy, we're here," Jenna said, taking Chris' hand again.

Chris calmed down almost instantly and didn't even flinch when the doctors proceeded to examine him thoroughly.

"That's it Chris, you're alright," Jeff said softly, running a hand over Chris' hair.

Chris felt what Jeff was doing and opened his eyes slightly "You're gonna put me to sleep...." he whispered

"You should rest baby," Jeff said. "We aren't gonna leave you."

"Okay..." Chris murmured, finally relaxing in the bed "Love you."

"Mmmmhmmm...." Chris sighed and fell asleep, hopefully he would feel a lot better when he woke up.

Sometime during the night Chris' fever broke and his condition began to improve.

Jeff hadn't slept not a wink that night, wanting to make sure Chris was okay.

Just after the sun rose Chris yawned and slowly opened his eyes. He smiled when he saw Jeff sitting by the bed, almost asleep on his feet,

"Hey Jeff..." Chris whispered softly "Were you up all night?"
