Hold Me Now

The Phenominal One felt anything but phenominal that afternoon. In fact he felt horrible. His stomach ached, his head was pounding, he just ached all over, and he was hotter than he could take. Curling up on in a ball on the bed he whimpered as he waited for his lover to come home.

Jay had no idea anything was wrong when he finally got home "AJ I'm back!!!"

AJ didn't answer, his body too weak he let out a small moan.

Jay started to get worried as he headed up the stairs, usually AJ had bounded into his arms by now "Baby are you here?" He got to the bedroom and gasped when he saw the state his lover was in "AJ!" he got onto the bed and lifted the brunette into his lap "Oh AJ...." Jay gently rubbed the younger man's burning face "It's okay sweetheart, I'm here now, I'm here."

"Jay...." AJ whimpered. "I feel horrible."

"Shhhh, I know, I know" Jay frowned as he checked the younger man's temperature in several places "I'll be right back baby, I'm gonna get the thermometer." He gently laid AJ down and quickly grabbed the device from the bathroom.

"Open up baby" he cooed softly, rubbing AJ soothingly as he slipped the device in. All too soon it beeped and Jay's eyes widened: 103.2

"Jay...." AJ was struggling to stay awake now. "Make it...go away."

"I will baby I will" Jay gathered AJ into his arms and headed down the stairs "Stay with me AJ I'm going to get you some help."

"Wha-what's going on?" AJ asked. "Where are you taking me?"

"I'm taking you to the hospital" Jay explained, even though he knew AJ hated hospitals with a passion "You are very very sick and you need the kind of help that I'm not capable of giving."

AJ squirmed, trying to free himself from Jay's grasp. "No," AJ muttered. "I'm not letting them turn me into a human pincushion again."

"AJ!" Jay was struggling to keep a grip on the brunette "AJ please, you need to go, you'll get even worse if you don't!"

"I don't care," AJ argued. "You know I don't like people messing with me when I'm like this!"

"Please AJ..." Jay knelt on the floor and cradled the brunette in his arms "Do it for me?"

"Jay," AJ whimpered. "They never leave me alone!"

"I'll make sure they leave you alone" Jay promised, tenderly kissing AJ's burning forehead "Once they give you the help you need, okay?"

"You're lucky I love you," AJ said. "I don't give in for just anyone."

Jay chuckled "I know AJ, believe me I know."

"Can we just get this over with before I change my mind?" AJ asked.

"Of course baby" Jay smiled and carried the younger man out to the car. AJ must be feeling better if he could still make remarks like that.

Just as quickly as he'd started coming back up again he slammed back down. The color drained from his skin, his fever raging again.

"Oh you poor thing" Jay sighed as he hurried to the hospital "It'll be okay AJ, just hang on."

"Hurts Jay," AJ muttered weakly.

"I know baby, I know" Jay reached over to feel AJ's forehead and sighed, he was getting even warmer "We're nearly there now."

"Baby......it's cold," AJ muttered.
