Hold Me Now

Jay looked over and saw AJ was starting to shudder "Shhh, it's okay" he rubbed AJ's arm and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the hospital come into view. Pulling in quickly, he picked AJ up and rushed him inside, cradling him gently when he began to moan.

AJ curled up close to Jay, his fear taking over.

Jay tightened his grip on AJ and whispered soothingly in his ear "It's okay" he murmured "I'm here AJ, I'm here, no one's going to hurt you."

"Take me back home Jay," AJ weakly whimpered. "I wanna go home."

"We will" Jay whispered "Just as soon as you get better, I'll be with you the whole time, don't worry."

AJ nodded, his eyelids growing heavy.

Jay blinked back tears as the doctors began to examine AJ. He knew very well how much the brunette hated to be in the hospital and even now the young man was squirming uncomfortably in his arms

"Shhhh AJ, shhh...." Jay gently rubbed AJ's back "It's okay, I'm here, it's okay..."

"Make them go away!" AJ whined.

"Hush" Jay murmured, stilling AJ with a kiss "They're just trying to help you, lay still for them baby."

"You said you'd make them leave me alone!" AJ pouted weakly.

"When they're done looking at you" Jay corrected "Just give them a few more minutes."

"They're poking me!" AJ continued to whine, acting more like a child than a grown man. "It hurts Jay!"

Jay rolled his eyes, now the brunette was just being stubborn "AJ...." he sharpened his gaze "Behave yourself."

AJ whimpered, squirming under Jay's gaze. He turned his eyes away from Jay's with a pout.

Jay sighed "Come on AJ, don't be like that." He rubbed AJ's back gently "See, they're finishing up now, just like I promised."

AJ didn't respond, hurt that Jay had gotten angry with him.
