Really Shouldn't Be Here

"Lexie you DO need them, trust me you do" Chris fought panic as he lifted Alex up and moved to the door "Something's very wrong Lexie, you need to get looked at...or...or...you could die."

"Not going there CC," Alex muttered. "Don't like it."

"Lexie..." Chris didn't want to deal with Alex's famed stubborness right now "Do you WANT to die?"

"No," Alex muttered getting weaker by the second.

"Lexie stay with me" Chris whispered urgently "I know you don't like the hospital, but I'll be with you the entire time, I swear I will, I'm gonna get you through this."

"So tired," Alex muttered, his eyes were mere slits now.

"Lexie? Lexie!! C'mon baby stay with me" Chris frantically rubbed Alex's cheek to keep him awake "Hold on darlin', I'm gonna take you right now, just hold on." He picked Alex up again and sprinted for the car.

"Sorry," Alex mutterd, as his eyes fell shut. "So.......sorry

"No Lexie, no!!" Chris began to cry as he sped towards the hospital "Baby don't leave me! P-please don't leave me..."

Alex didn't move after that, but it was clear that he was in pain an occasional moan passing his lips.

"Just hold on Lexie, hold on..." Chris careened into the hospital parking lot and rushed Alex inside, forgetting to shut the car door in his haste to get his lover inside.

Alex's eyes opened breifly as he tensed up realizing where he was, before losing conscienceness again.

"It's okay Lexie" Chris bit back tears as the doctors began to work on the brunette "It's okay, you'll make it, you've got to."

Most people would have been thrilled when Alex began to come to again, but under the current circumstances, this was not the case. Due to the amount of blood loss prior to his arrival the doctors recommened a CT scan to find exactly what was causing the bleeding. There was only one problem with that, Alex was claustraphobic.

"Baby you gotta go in there" Chris pleaded, practically holding Alex in his arms "It only takes a few minutes, please baby, it'll help them save your life!"

"Don't- Don't make me," Alex stammered, fearfully. "If you love me, please."

"But Lexie..." Chris was strained to the point of tears "It's BECAUSE I love you that I'm asking you to go. Please baby, I'll be right there with you the entire time, I promise."

"Please don't make me......" Alex whimpered.

"Lexie, please..." Chris looked right into Alex's painfilled eyes "For me?"

"I don't- I don't know," Alex muttered before he sighed softly. "Okay."

Chris held Alex's hand tightly the entire way to the MRI room and stayed with him while the tests were done

"It's alright Lexie..." he whispered encouragingly when his boyfriend began to whimper "Just a few more seconds..." Once Alex was finished, he kissed him happily on the way back to the room "Lexie I'm so proud of you" he whispered "Just get some rest now."

"St-Stay with me?" Alex asked pleadingly.

"Lexie you know I'll never leave you" Chris whispered, gently sliding into bed next to his lover "Better now?"

Alex nodded, his eyes falling closed.

Chris gently kissed Alex's burning forehead and settled down to watch over his lover.
