Will He Ever Learn?

"Then for the sake of our love Jeff, TELL me what's wrong!"

Jeff shook his head and wrote again.

I can't, only Matt knows.....

"That's it" Chris growled, fishing out his phone once again "I'm calling Matt and getting to the bottom of this."

Jeff shrugged, he was beginning to feel a little lightheaded and he didn't really care what Chris did.

Chris kept a careful eye on Jeff while he hit speed dial

"Hey Matt it's Chris" the blonde did his best to keep his voice calm "Is something going on with Jeff that I need to know about? He says you know about it..."

Matt sighed softly. "He's sick again," Matt said. "I took him to see Jenna last week while you were gone and she gave him some antibiotics, he probably hasn't been taking them," Matt said.

"Well what do I do?" Chris whispered "Your little brother can hardly stand and he won't let me help him at all."

"He's freaking out isn't he?" Matt asked.

"No...." Chris sighed "He's being stubborn as a mule."

"Also know as freaking out in Jeff's world," Matt replied. "Listen, your sister told him last week if he wasn't careful with this he'd need his tonsils removed, if they're as swollen as I think they are even you'll be able to tell," Matt said. "You need to get him to let you look."

Chris nodded and hung up after quietly saying goodbye "Okay Jeffro" he murmured, coming back over to his silent boyfriend "Matt's told me everything, could I peek at your tonsils?"

Jeff hung his head, not responding.

Chris sighed "Please Jeff, for me?"

Jeff shook his head.

"Jeff please!" Chris was growing frustrated by his boyfriend's stubborness "If you don't get it treated, you could get much much worse!"

Jeff stood up and started to walk away.

"Jeffery Nero!!!" Chris grabbed Jeff's hand to keep him from leaving "I'm tired of watching you hurt yourself like this, do you realize how much pain you're putting ME through?"

"I can't go Chris," Jeff said weakly.

Chris sighed "Jeff, nobody knows more than Matt and I how much you hate hospitals, and if it were possible, I'd let you stay here. But..." he raised Jeff's head so their eyes met "What you have needs to be treated in a hospital, but you don't have to be afraid, me, Matt, whoever you want, we'll be there right by your side the entire time. Please Jeff...if you love me, let me take you to the hospital."

"You promise you'll stay?" Jeff asked.

Chris nodded "I've never left your side before and I don't intend on starting now."

Jeff nodded. "Okay," Jeff said.

Chris smiled "Alright then, come on Jeffro, let's go see Jenna Bell."

Jeff nodded, walking toward the door slowly.

Chris gently walked Jeff out to the car and drove as quickly as he could to the hospital, knowing that his sister was currently on duty. He paused outside the entrance and made a quick call on his cell phone

"Hey Jen-Jen, it's Chrissy" the blonde spoke softly and quickly "Listen, I'm here with Jeff outside, could you come out here and walk in with him? He's being a little...skittish if you know what I mean."
