Jays' fever rose throughout the day, finally peaking at 104.6. Still nestled in Adam's arms, Jay was burning hot and deathly pale, his breathing shallow.

Soothed by his lover's voice, Jay settled down and went back to sleep, a small smile on his face

Jay didn't wake again, his fever finally broke towards sunset.

The next morning, Jay stirred and yawned, smiling when he realized he was still wrapped in Adam's arms

"Addy..." he whispered, sliding one arm around his lover's neck "Baby wake up."

Adam woke slowly, smiling at Jay when he did. "Hey baby, feeling better?"
