Chris was shocked "He does all this" he indicated her bruises and cuts "Because you won't follow his lifestyle?"

"And because of Sierra," Clarissa said. "I was only siteen."

"So you were sixteen." Chris murmured "That's no excuse for what he's done to you, it's not right at all."

"Clarissa why haven't you gone to the police?" Chris was very very concerned about these two girls "Your brother should be in jail for what he's done to you and Sierra."

Clarissa didn't know how to react at first after Chris kissed her, it'd been a long time since someone had done that.

Chris gently stroked Clarissa's long hair "You're safe now..." he whispered "Now and always."

"Because you're a beautiful girl who needs a lot of love" Chris whispered, softly kissing her again "You and Sierra."

"You deserve it" Chris murmured, gently stroking her hair "Now go ahead and get some sleep, you really need it."

"Can't sleep," Clarissa muttered. "Too scared."

Chris shushed her with another kiss to the forehead "Just lay here then, you can stay right on my chest as long as you like." He gently cradled the young woman in his muscular arms, glancing down every once in a while to make sure she was comfortable.

Clarissa stayed close, for the first time in a long time, comforted by touch, instead of being afraid of it.

Chris continued to gently rub Clarissa's back, head reluctantly sinking back into the pillow as he began to succumb to exhaustion from being up half the night.

"Clarissa?" he murmured sleepily "Would you be upset if I slept for a while?"

Chris nodded and drifted off to sleep a short time later, one arm still wrapped around Clarissa's waist.

When Chris woke up the next morning, Clarissa was still sleeping soundly. However, there was now an additional weight against his chest. He glanced over and saw Sierra curled up next to her mother, one tiny hand resting against his arm.

Sierra yawned softly as she started to wake, and looked around.
