I Need a Hero to Save me Now

Jeff moaned softly as a dull ache began to settle in his stomach.

"Jeff, baby?" Chris gently shook his boyfriend "Sweetie are you okay?"

This can't be happening he thought despondently Matt and Evan are down, not Jeff too!!!

"I'm fine baby," Jeff muttered half asleep, not bothering to open his eyes.

"Jeffery Nero" Chris had absolutely zero patience after what he'd gone through with Matt "Do not lie to me, you know I can tell when you're sick."

"I'm not sick, I'm tired," Jeff muttered.

"Just tired, huh." Chris laid a hand on the younger man's forehead and narrowed his eyes "What's this fever I feel then?"

"Chris, I'm not sick!" Jeff muttered defensively

"Yes" Chris sighed as he pressed the call button "You are."

Jeff whimpered a bit as a doctor came into the room, curling up closer to Chris. "Go away," Jeff whined.

"Jeffery...." Chris was starting to growl "Do you WANT to end up in a hospital bed like your brother? Just let him look you over and you can stay right here in my lap."

Jeff nodded. "Okay, but they aren't taking me away from you," Jeff said.

"We'll see" Chris murmured, relieved that Jeff had agreed to be examined.

Jeff nodded, whimpering softly as the doctor looked him over.

"Shhh, just relax" Chris whispered, gently rubbing Jeff's head "How is he?" he asked the doctor "Will he be okay?"

"With rest and fluids yes," the doctor said.

"Can he stay with me?" Chris murmured pleadingly "I promise he'll get rest."

The doctor nodded. "I need to get an IV on him first to keep him hydrated."

Jeff whimpered, burrowing his head in Chris' chest.

"Shhh, baby it's okay" Chris rubbed Jeff's back while the doctor got the IV ready "I know you don't like these, but this is going to help you, they won't let you stay with me otherwise."

"But.....if I do it, I'll get to stay with you?" Jeff asked softly.

"Yes" Chris whispered, softly kissing Jeff's forehead "Here, hold onto me, it'll only take a second." He held Jeff tightly and squeezed his hand when the needle went in "There you go" he murmured gently "Now get some sleep baby."

Jeff nodded, eyelids growing heavy. "Love you Chrissy," Jeff murmured.

Chris gave Jeff another tender kiss and rubbed his head "Love you too Jeffy."

Jeff smiled, snuggling into Chris's arms before drifting off.

Hours later...

Evan awoke to discover a doctor was working to remove the tube from his throat. Not liking how it made him feel, Evan whimpered and grew still when a hand touched his shoulder "It's alright Evey" it was Chris, and he was looking down at him with a smile "It's good to see you awake again."

"T..thanks..." Evan's voice was raspy after not being used for so long "Am I better now?"

Chris chuckled "Pretty much, your fever was already down the first time you woke up and it broke when you went back to sleep." Chris' eyes grew somber "You had us all scared Evey, Matt especially."

"Oh Mattie..." Evan rolled over and stroked his boyfriend's face "He's so good to me but he always neglects himself." He rubbed Matt a little harder, he really wanted to see him awake "Mattie? Mattie..."

Matt groaned, smiling when he saw Evan awake. "Hey baby," Matt said.
